MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS

Our Organisation The main office is located in Camperdown, and a satellite office is located in Warrnambool. The Division employs 20 staff, comprising of Executive Officer, Program Development Officer, Health Integration Team, Medical Workforce Team, Mental Health Team, Practice Capacity Building Team, Information Technology Program, Finance Team and three Administration Staff.
The ODGP deals with a variety of stakeholders including 12 public and one private hospitals, 7 Local Governments Agencies, 3 Primary Care Partnerships (PCPs), Community Services throughout the region, 4 Aboriginal Health Agencies, the South West Alliance of Rural Hospitals (Regional IT Initiative) and the Rural Health Unit. |

Otway Division of General Practice (ODGP) is located in southwest Victoria. Our Division extends from Winchelsea and Aireys Inlet in the east across to Portland, Heywood and the South Australian border. The sea forms our southern boundary and the Grampians/Great Dividing Range our northern one. The region is essentially a primary production area, with the emphasis on sheep and dairy farming, while a significant tourism industry exists along the Great Ocean Road. Medical services (ie. A& E, Obstetrics and Anaesthetics) are largely delivered by GPs working in small country hospitals, with specialist back up principally from Warrnambool, Hamilton, Colac and Geelong. |
