Hamilton. headspace South West Victoria is a partnership of 13 local agencies and programs that together offer a broad range of services. Brophy Family & Youth Services is the lead agency and works closely with primary care, mental health, education, alcohol and other drug and vocational services.

Our team comprises youth workers, psychologists, counsellors, education and employment specialists who are experienced and passionate about working with young people.

Drop In Youth Clinic:

This clinic is a “walk in” program which is run each Monday afternoon from 2:30pm to 4:30pm. Services provided by the South West Healthcare Nurse on call and our GP include:

• Contraception information
• Pregnancy counselling
• Pregnancy testing
• Emergency contraception
• STI checks

GP Clinic:

Our GPs are available each afternoon from Monday through to Wednesday from 2pm to 4:30pm and offer a range of services such as:

• answering medical questions
• providing sexual health screening and counselling serviceshelp with treatment for depression, anxiety, sleep problems and similar issues
• dealing with injury worries
• providing nutritional advice
• providing vaccinations

Counselling Service:

Our team of Allied Health Professionals are available from Tuesday through to Friday to help with client support, counselling, mediation or therapy.

Fees:
Bulk-billing is offered so there is no direct cost to clients. They just need to bring their Medicare Card /Number with them to their appointment.

Referring Someone to headspace:

If you would like to refer someone to headspace South West Victoria it’s as simple as phoning us on:

1300 276 749 during normal working hours.

Referral documentation required from an external specialist (ie. a GP or Allied Health Professional) typically comprises a letter of referral and (where applicable) a copy of the Mental Health Treatment Plan which are to be marked to the attention of “Brophy Family & Youth Services’ Integrated Intake Team Leader”.

houses Brophy Family & Youth Services and affiliated services and programs.

headspace has been set up to assist young people aged 12-25 years and their families to deal with differentproblems and access help via experts in a range of areas. headspace brings agencies together in the one place to offer a broader range of services for young people. We can also give you advice and introduce clients to people who can assist with education issues, finding work or accommodation.
