Winchelsea Medical Centre prides itself on the ongoing service provided to the town and Rural communities. The staff at all times, maintain an understanding, caring approach to patients and this is then reciprocated by the obvious respect and high regard in which this surgery is held.

Dr Rob McDonald is the Principal of the practice and has been practicing medicine here for 16 years.

There is a vast referral network available covering all available specialists. Neurosurgery is the only specialty not covered. Under the umbrella of Winchelsea Community Health Centre are Physiotherapists, Dieticians, District Nurses and Diabetes Educators. The surgery also accommodates a dental surgeon 3 half days per week.

Practice Diagnosis Facilities:
Include ECG machine (self diagnosing); Diathermy; Laser; Cryotherapy; Glucometers and a large selection of instruments for minor surgical procedures. The minor surgical procedures include removal of cysts, removal of skin cancers, warts, lacerations and plastering etc. The practice excels in current use of infection control procedures. Pathology specimens that are taken by the doctors are collected twice daily, with reports received twice daily and phone reporting is available on request.
