BACKGROUND
The Federal Minister for Health and State of Victoria agreed on a program to attract suitably qualified International Medical Graduates (IMGs) to areas of rural and remote Victoria which are currently experiencing problems in attracting or retaining doctors. These areas are nominated by the Victorian Minister for Health and agreed by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Aged Care.
