The Division continues to support GPs in providing talks and presentations to demographic groups, ie., primary and secondary students, community, business and sporting groups on a wide range of health issues. Health topics can be based on local needs and include:
• Men’s Health/Prostate Cancer • Adolescent Health and Puberty • Nutrition and Mental Health • Healthy Eating/Health Lifestyles • Anxiety and Depression • Bowel Cancer
The Division will fund GPs for the preparation and presentation time involved, limited to a maximum of two hours.
Prior approval for these events should be sought from the Executive Officer in writing or by email including proposed date(s), topic, audience and location.
Division rates applicable:
Presentation time: $118.50/hour + GST Preparation time: $59.25/hour + GST
Travel time and kilometres are not reimbursed.
All GPs funded by the Division should subsequently provide a brief report on their presentation topic(s), group addressed and audience impact/feedback, for the Board of Management.
